How to Save Your Marriage Alone - Can It Really Be
Done?
Is Saving Your Marriage Alone possible? Deciding whether you can save your
marriage is a very important decision one has to make when problems arise in the marriage.
A lot of people believe that they can single handedly save their marriage without the other partner's help or
participation. Although this is very hard for some people to accept, saving your marriage alone is a very
unrealistic expectation and very unlikely to work.
Although you want to keep the marriage together so desperately, sometimes staying in a one-sided relationship is
so lonely and only crushes your self-esteem and hurts you more in the long run. It is important to understand that
saving your marriage alone is possible only in a few situations.
It is possible to save your marriage alone if there are no serious problems with your spouse or if your spouse is
oblivious to the fact that you are unhappy. It could be that you love your partner but are experiencing some
personal problems and disappointments that your spouse is not even aware of.
It is certainly not your partner's fault if you are starting to consider turning to someone else for comfort
with personal issues. If you realize that you want to save your marriage within, instead of reaching outside the
marriage for comfort, then you are taking the proper approach to learning how to be save your marriage alone.
If your spouse has done nothing terribly wrong, but you feel as if you don't love your spouse anymore, then you
can possibly still save your marriage. You can single handedly save your marriage from disaster if you try to
remember why you fell in love with your spouse in the first place instead of letting those negative feelings fester
and grow.
There are times that it will be impossible to save your marriage without your spouse's help. The chance of
saving your marriage by yourself is very rare and you will only know how to save your marriage alone in very few
circumstances.
Sadly however, saving your marriage alone is not usually an option. If your spouse has been cheating on you,
then your marriage can certainly not be saved by you alone. Due to the fact that a cheating spouse usually doesn't
stop cheating, the problems that are caused by a cheating spouse can not be ignored no matter how bad you want the
problems to go away.
It can be heartbreaking to admit to yourself that it is not possible to save your marriage alone under these
particular circumstances. If you and your spouse have fallen out of love with each other due to past problems that
have caused resentment and bitterness in your relationship, then the chances of saving your marriage alone are
unfortunately relatively slim.
Trying to change your negative behaviors and feelings is one way to try and save your marriage alone. When you
are willing to change and work on your marriage, and yet your spouse refuses to change, this will only lead to you
building up more resentment for your spouse in the longrun.
It is very important to be open and honest with your spouse about your needs and feelings so that there will be
no misunderstandings about what you want and expect from the marriage. As long as you keep your feelings a secret,
your spouse will never know how much you want things to workout, and you will inevitably be attempting to save your
marriage alone.
